Additional comments:
Large individual for Tofo. Was swimming inshore from Clownfish reef in shallow water. Size estimate of 8.68m based on a birds eye view shot of freediver at same depth as shark. Freediver's fin size was measured back at the dive shop so an accurate size estimate could be extracted from the photo. Claspers were large and protruding far beyond the pelvic fins.
Sorry I dont currently have access to the Whale shark uploads spreadsheet. This shark was just so huge I had to put it in the system!!
