Additional comments:
This whale shark was swimming close to the surface at Sail Rock. I noticed it had a thick rope tied tightly around its tail. A dive instructor from Roctopus Dive was able to remove the rope after three tries. The whale shark has been spotted at Sail Rock since and it has a very visible scar where the rope was knotted, but the wound is now healing.
