Additional comments:
Utila is very interested in tracking this particular whale shark. They believe it was hit by their ferry boat (look at large wounds on back and dorsal fin) about three years earlier. The Ferry boat hit something that didn’t break the propellers….which indicates something fleshy. I’ve been to Utila many times…but so far, there are no other reports of this whale shark being sighted. The wounds make it stand out from any others.
