This was an unusual encounter.
Although migration routes are close by, a whale shark was never seen so close to the shore in this part of the island. This location is part of the house reef of Magic Island Resort. I was diving when suddenly I noticed this whale shark on the shallow side of the reef which is 10 meters deep.

This was the first time I saw one and I would really like to know more about this fellow.
