From YouTube video: Salesforce Manta Trust VTO Trip - Maldives 2019

In September 2019, a team of 15 Salesforce employees joined the Manta Trust on a research expedition around the Maldives. We used this opportunity to explore hard to reach areas of the country for new mantas. Some of the key achievements of the trip included: - 24 survey dives/snorkels across 5 atolls - encountered and IDed 63 different manta rays - discovered 3 new mantas for MMRP database - submitted 1 whale shark ID to the Maldives Whale Shark Research Programme - conducted an education and outreach session on marine ecosystems with a local school - removed 4 jumbo bags of rubbish from a beach with the help of local school kids - delivered 3 jumbo bags of recyclable plastic bottles to Parley Maldives - identified and processed a back log of over 200 IDs - ran daily presentations and workshops on marine conservation and biology We can't thank you enough for your help and support on the trip and we hope to see you again next year!
