Footage from swimming with a whale shark off the West End of Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras. Was a big one, probably 25 - 30 ft.
Tracking him by the jumping schools of tuna and sardines, it took 4 jumps into the water and about 30 minutes before we were finally able to find the whale shark and swim with him. He stayed within 5 to 20 feet of the surface for about 20 minutes, feeding on plankton, before heading back down to deeper water.
