There were actually 4 together ranging in size from 4-7mt. A larger 12mt one was encountered later. It actually hit the boat. The local fishermen of Oslob and Sumilon Isl see the sharks as a good omen, so have taken it upon themselves to protect them. They keep them out of the shallows by catching the krill in nets and dragging it out to deeper water where they then feed it to the sharks!
